Founder of Ohana girls, Ellen is a devoted wife, mother, entrepreneur, author, teacher and student of yoga for over twenty years. Ellen found yoga during her collegiate tennis career at Villanova University. Her first yoga class was a struggle as she could barely touch her knees in a forward fold. An avid athlete, adventurer seeker, Ellen continued with feeding yoga into her life and she felt her body open and her mind become less rigid. She eventually completed her first teacher training in 2003 with Modo yoga (formerly Moksha yoga) . In 2008, just two months before her 3rd daughter was born she opened the first Moksha Modo hot yoga studio in the United States in her hometown of Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. She went on to open two more in Cincinnati
With over 20,000 hours of teaching, practicing, and studying on and off the mat, Ellen is a dedicated student, passionate teacher and inspiring leader. Yoga has guided Ellen to live from a place of heart not the craziness of the mind. Ellen shares and truly believes yoga has the ability to change the world if we all begin to follow our hearts, share our light and be architects to love humanity forward with love!
Ellen gives thanks to her husband who continuously supports her wild dreams. She sees her daughters Taylor, Kya and Shae as her greatest spiritual teachers in life.
